Blowing You A #FridayKiss On A Wednesday

5/27/2020

Every Friday, AllTheKissing hosts #FridayKiss on social media. They share a theme, and writers can post a few lines of to match the theme. Can I tell you? I L-O-V-E this prompt game. Finding and creating the prompts, seeing other people's words, and it all being in the realm of love...it's always a reset button for me, no matter how hard the week has been and there have been some hard weeks.
Unsure if you'll be a fan of Denise Williams books? Here a few of my favorite twitter prompt posts!

Swooniness

"I'll write your name in the stars," he exclaimed.
We spun on the dance floor & I laughed. "I don't think you can do that, Love."
"You married an astrophysicist, baby." He pulled me close and dipped me, his strong hand at my back. "It's one of the perks."#1linewed #Romance

"Are you awake?" The whisper tickled my ear and the alarm clock showed 5am.
"No. Why are you?"
"It's January 1st."
"So?"
His lips brushed across my ring finger before he spoke. "I planned to propose to you this year and I couldn't wait any longer."#FridayKiss□□⏰

Sexy Times

"My pleasure," he said, voice pitched low as he dotted kisses down my throat.
"I didn't thank you." The words left my mouth on a sharp exhale when he nipped at my neck.
"Not yet." I saw his smirk for only a moment before his lips were on mine again. □□#FridayKiss #romance

"I can be quiet," I whispered.
"Hm," he said, as his kisses grazed my stomach and his fingers trailed lower.
"I can." My breath hitched and I bit my lip hard to stop from moaning.
My best friend's eyes flicked to my face, heat in his eyes. "I don't believe you."#fridaykiss □

"I had a dream about him."
She laughed. "A dirty dream?"
"I have a vivid imagination." I remembered the feel of his mouth in the dream and flushed. "There's no way he's that skilled in real life."
I froze at the deep voice behind me. "I'm pretty good in real life." #FridayKiss

Side Characters I Love

She poured the mixture into the ancient industrial mixer that whirred to life. “Look up how to find the g-spot.”
“I don’t need sex advice from my little sister,” I gritted out. "And I went to medical school. I'm familiar with anatomy."
"All men think they're familiar."#1lineWed

"Why do people leave so many comments? Can't we get a congratulations button and be done with with this?"
"You realize you're annoyed that people are sharing kind words about a newborn ...on Christmas, right, Mr. Grinch?"
"I'm a mean one. #1linewed #romcom #amwritingromance

He swept the hair off my neck. “Let's not talk about my family.”
“What do you want to talk about?”
His lips tickled the skin below my ear. "My bedroom."
“Is that a subtle hint you want me in your bed?”
“I didn’t think it was that subtle.” □#FridayKiss #HowToFailAtFlirting

He dipped his head close to mine. “How many different light-up erotic tiaras do you own?”
I counted off my fingers. “Technically four, but I lent one out for the royal wedding and haven’t gotten it back yet.”#1linewed #amwritingromance

"A six-letter word for movement?"
His voice behind me was gravelly with sleep and he kissed my shoulder. "Are you doing a crossword puzzle?"
"Sorry, I couldn't sleep."
His lips grazed my ear. "Thrust?"
"No. Maybe squirm."
He stroked my hip. "I like this puzzle." #FridayKiss

I pulled the blanket to my chin and sent him a selfie, trying to look sexy.
“What're you hiding?” He asked.
“Guess.”
"Sweatpants."
"Dammit. How'd you know?"
"You get cold," he said, "But don't hide. I want to see the real you." #FridayKiss #HowToFailAtFlirting #DeletedScene

An Easter moment for HOW TO FAIL AT FLIRTING:
Jake brushed my hair away and kissed my shoulder. "Are you organizing jelly beans?"
"By color from most beans to least."
"We're so different," he murmured by my ear. "Mine are in reverse rainbow order." #Romance #HowToFailAtFlirting pic.twitter.com/VnMqe44GaF

Thanks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience of mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
